Job Overview

The associate reports to the Optics Center Manager and provides the store with expert knowledge on ordering and distributing quality eyewear while optimizing sales and profits and delivering exemplary customer service in accordance with Walmart’s core values.

Responsibilities

• Support the Optics Center Manager in maximizing sales and profits of the Optics Center.
• Assist in training Optics Center associates to ensure their education on lenses, frames, and contact lenses.
• Participate in the implementation of marketing and promotional programs as per company expectations and be responsible for ordering and maintaining inventory levels.
• Manage, support, and represent the company’s core values of humanity, customer service, and excellence.
• Maintain a positive image of the Optics Center by ensuring a clean appearance and environment for associates, customers, and physicians.
• Accept and evaluate written prescription orders from customers or physicians.
• Ensure safe working conditions, including proper equipment maintenance and adherence to required emergency guidelines.
• Follow and enforce provincial and federal guidelines related to prescription and over‑the‑counter eyewear dispensing.
