What you’ll do :
You will be responsible for leading the team in providing legendary customer service to make all guests of our Co-op feel at home here.
This will be accomplished by :
- Supervising and delegating employee workflow and duties while ensuring all staff are following safety standards as well as Legacy Co-op's policies and procedures.
- Completing reviews on Team Members - plan, monitor and review Team Member performance as it relates to the Performance Management process.
- Providing ongoing and frequent communication and coaching
- Onboarding and training new staff
- Demonstrating leadership in the operation of the Point-of-Sale system and U-scans.
- Assisting with interviews as needed
- General Food Store duties as required - stocking, receiving, ordering, opening, closing, operating POS system
Who you are :
You are interested in a career in customer service and :
- You have prior supervisory experience (considered an asset)
- You have above-average communication skills and computer skills
- You have retail experience in the areas of customer service and merchandising
- Have knowledge of retail grocery operations and willing to expand knowledge in this area.
- You’re honest and trustworthy, are results-oriented and strive to be the best in what you do.
- You are willing to work all shifts scheduled including days, evenings, holidays and weekends
- You believe in building relationships and collaborating to deliver solutions that matter most, and you recognize the value that different perspectives bring to meet shared objectives.
- You are physically able to do heavy lifting of 50 lbs, climb ladders and kneel
