Personal Care Aide - Home Care

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Aides to provide essential support to a 87-year-old lady in need of assistance with daily activities. This role is crucial in enhancing the quality of life for our mother receiving home care. As a Personal Care Aide, you will play a vital role in delivering patient-centered care while ensuring safety and comfort.

Duties

• Assist clients with personal hygiene tasks including bathing, grooming, and dressing.
• Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the well-being of clients.
• Help with meals if required and ensure proper nutrition for clients.
• Administer medication as prescribed and monitor her health conditions.
• Perform light housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe environment.
• Assist her with mobility and transfers, including heavy lifting when necessary.
• Support her with her disabilities by facilitating daily living activities.
• Engage her in activities that promote mental stimulation and social interaction.
• Provide specialized care for her with early dementia in home care settings.

Requirements

• Previous experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or senior care is preferred.
• Knowledge of patient care practices and caregiving techniques is essential.
• Experience working with individuals with disabilities or dementia care is a plus.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting as needed for client mobility assistance.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
• Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life.
• Basic cleaning skills to ensure a hygienic living space for clients.
• Certification in CPR or first aid is advantageous but not mandatory.
