Faculties of Human Sciences and Philosophy

The Faculties of Human Sciences and Philosophy seek a candidate with innovative and visionary leadership skills. He or she will have a capacity to adapt or create programs that address emerging trends, as well as promote and support research.

In addition to being fluent in English and French, the successful candidate will hold a doctorate degree and have a strong background in teaching and research, combined with proven leadership and administrative experience, including strategic planning and an ambassadorial role.

The appointment is for a three-year renewable term commencing January 1, 2025. Tenure may be granted after two years of service.

The Faculties of Human Sciences and Philosophy offer a variety of undergraduate and graduate programs. They comprise six schools (School of Counselling, Psychotherapy and Spirituality; School of Conflict Studies; School of Social Communication; Élisabeth Bruyère School of Social Innovation; School of Ethics, Social Justice and Public Service; and Providence School of Leadership, Ecology and Equity). The Faculty of Human Sciences also oversees the Counselling and Psychotherapy Centre.
