Overview

We are seeking students to work as peer tutors in the Learning Commons (library) in all subject areas during the 2025-2026 school year. This position is only available to students currently enrolled in Olds College Programming during the 2025 / 26 academic year.

Base pay range

CA$15.00 / hr - CA$16.00 / hr

The Opportunity - Peer Tutors for 2025 / 26 Academic Year

We are seeking students to work as peer tutors in the Learning Commons (library) in all subject areas during the 2025-2026 school year.

Key Job Functions

  • Meet with student(s) to help with learning and understanding of course content and concepts; tutoring may occur one-on-one or in a group.
  • Complete reporting / data collection regarding tutoring hours.
  • Scheduling is based on student availability and may include day and / or evening hours.

Education / Experience / Skills / Knowledge Required

  • Demonstrated mastery in a subject area or course, with a recommendation from an instructor.
  • Report to the Manager, Student Experience and Educational Design; may collaborate with instructors as needed.
  • Dynamic with strong interpersonal and communication skills, excellent organizational abilities, proficiency in MS Office and Google Suite, and willingness to work as part of a team.
  • Training is provided. Must have technology and connectivity to tutor via video conferencing for virtual tutoring.
  • Cover letter stating the subjects or courses you are interested in tutoring is required.
