Job details

  • Location : Westlock, AB T7P 2N9
  • Salary : 20.00 to 23.00 hourly (to be negotiated) / 35 to 45 hours per week
  • Terms of employment : Permanent employment, full time
  • Overtime required, early morning, night, shift
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate

Experience

5 years or more

Work must be completed at the physical location. There is no option to work remotely.

    • Responsibilities

    Tasks

  • Clear and collect brush and debris from fields, pens, and other work areas
  • Handle animals
  • Monitor the calving process
  • Monitor animal health
  • Plant, cultivate and irrigate crops
  • Treat livestock health issues
  • Wean
  • Fertilize and spray crops
  • Feed and tend animals
  • Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment
  • Provide agricultural crop services such as plowing, irrigating, cultivating, spraying or harvesting
  • Carry out a pasture or pen breeding program
  • Co‑ordinate and supervise the work of general farm workers and harvesting labourers
  • Ensure farm safety and bio‑security procedures are followed
  • Maintain livestock performance records

    • Clean stables, barns, barnyards and pens

  • Maintain work records and logs

    • Experience and specialization
