Job Summary
Reporting directly to the Senior Manager, Supply Chain Management, the main role of the Supply Chain Analyst, Third-Party is to define and execute the supply strategy to ensure the continuity of the supply chain in the short and long term for the molecules in their portfolio for the Canadian and international markets;
under a framework of operational, commercial, and financial management.
As the Supply Chain Analyst - Third Party, you will be responsible for the chain from end to end, i.e. from the raw material to the finished product that will be delivered to the customer.
You will be responsible for ensuring collaboration between key partners to meet the customer needs and build strong relationships with Pharmascience’s suppliers, in order to ensure on-time delivery, meet the desired level of customer service, ensure an optimal level of inventory, and minimize destruction and operation costs (including rework).
You will be responsible for translating demand into requirements for operations in the supply chain, considering the production cycles for our suppliers including their challenges and constraints.
In this role, you will understand market behaviour and works closely with the Business Units to build an optimal supply plan.
Responsibilities & Duties :
- Analyze and define replenishment frequencies to purchase raw materials, schedule bulk production and finished product packaging so that all stages are synchronized and easily aligned to meet market needs.
- Analyze a variety of KPIs to assess the performance of the supply chain in order to detect issues, propose and execute related plan of action : Plan adherence.
The ability of suppliers to deliver on time.Analysis of excess inventory.Customer Service LevelBackorder level
Analyze the causes of supply chain variability and make recommendations, such as time or stock coverage, including : Market demand, including new product launches.
Quality events.Cycle times.The delivery time of suppliers.The constraints of our suppliers (capacity, availability of components, equipment utilization, lot sizes and manufacturing processes, etc.)
Analyze and understand market behavior, more specifically demand variability, seasonal demand versus continuous demand and deviations in demand based on current sales and forecasts.
Build inventory strategies accordingly
- Resolution of issues with suppliers under the Contract frameworks (Quality and Supply)
- Analyze the risks and opportunities of the market and give a quick recommendation to commercial units.
- Participate in the development, planning and execution of marketing strategies under his responsibility. This includes new product launches.
- Ensure optimal supply for the products under his responsibility in line with market demands by optimizing SAP parameters such as : Supply lead time, inventory coverage in time and in stock, batch size, order quantities, etc.
for finished products, bulk and raw materials.
Identify simplification and improvement opportunities for the Supply Chain and lead implementation, supported by functional units.
These include cost optimization, cycle-time reduction, harmonization of procurement for the assigned suppliers, etc.
Skills, Knowledge & Abilities :
- Bachelor of Business Administration or Supply Chain Management
- Management or any other combination of training and experience deemed relevant.
- Master in Supply Chain Management (an asset)
- 5 to 7 years of experience in Supply Chain Management in the manufacturing sector.
- Experience in the pharmaceutical industry is an asset.
- Bilingual English / French (oral and written). The incumbent will be communicating and working with suppliers located outside of the province of Quebec
- Excellent knowledge of Supply Chain best practices, good understanding of policies and regulations around purchasing in subcontracting mode (pharmaceutical products an asset)
