What You’ll Be Doing

  • Responsible for all aspects of hospitality style dining service utilizing the Ready, Set, Serve Program as it applies to the serving areas, setting, serving and cleaning tables
  • Assist with the preparation and presentation of food under the direction of the Chef
  • Practice and maintain established standards for cleanliness and sanitation throughout all aspects of food preparation and service as required by the health department
  • Promote and track a la carte and wine service sales in accordance with prescribed procedures
  • Comply with all provincial regulations, established food and beverage department policies and procedures and ORCA standards to ensure the department is tour ready
  • Participate in drills to prepare for emergencies and attend all education sessions in relation to emergency preparedness
  • Work in accordance with the organization’s Health and Safety Policies and Procedures and in compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act

    • What You Need To Know

  • Must have the Smart Serve designation or Serve It Right (SIRS) designation (for Saskatchewan locations) and one year experience in dining room service
  • Ability to work independently and / or as a member of a team
  • Safe Food Handling Certification preferred
  • Experience working with seniors and knowledge of the aging process an asset
  • Proven customer service skills to work with residents of various cultural backgrounds
  • Effective verbal and written English communication skills required
