Job Summary
The Manufacturing Software Engineer will support our manufacturing floor where we assemble and manufacture all products for our customers worldwide. From our circuit board manufacturing all the way though manufacturing and service, the Manufacturing Software Engineer will be focused on developing integrated software solutions to connect data sources and drive productivity improvements, and will work closely with other operational disciplines and R+D to drive improvements across multiple product lines and processes
Responsibilities
- Administer development, maintenance, and improvements to existing in-house manufacturing software and database implementations, and drive projects aimed at streamlining, simplifying, and improving robustness
- Develop new software solutions to improve data acquisition
- Develop and lead implementation of best-practices
- Develop process around change control for live software implementations
- Engage with Product Development, Quality, and other disciplines to ensure root-cause analyses and resolution of issues in product or process are completed
- Coordinate with developers of electronic interface hardware and mechanical interfaces to test and interface with product
- Investigate and find root cause of product test failures and drive resolution to improve product yield, quality, and throughput
- Lead initiatives to source new technologies to deliver gains in productivity, capacity, efficiency, and quality
- Support manufacturing readiness and required technical staffing needs for new product introduction launches, interfacing with Product Development to ensure new products meet production test requirements and that manufacturing product test deliverables are met
- Drive standardization and improvement in manufacturing software usage
- Manage development of documentation, procedures, and processes to standardize and improve manufacturing test operations

Advanced experience in developing and debugging Python or C, C++, and / or Java, with experience in Labview considered an assetExperience in integration and linkage of third-party software systems5-10+ years experience in a mid-to-high volume manufacturing or operations environment, with preference given to candidates with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma accreditationDemonstrated successes in leading projects or programs that have delivered significant results to Operations performanceAbility to rapidly prioritize and balance conflicting prioritiesExceptional ability to communicate in English, verbally and in writingAdvanced experience in designing, consolidating, integrating with, and reporting from databasesExperience in electronics circuit and PCB layout design, RF test design in cellular, GPS, and other bands, data analysis and management through database usage, and experience with gas detection are assetsSteel-Toed Boots Requirement :
Candidates are required to wear steel-toed boots for this role to ensure safety compliance in the workplace. Applicants must have access to a pair of steel-toed boots prior to starting employment.
