A typical day would involve :

  • Maintain an assigned community real estate portfolio (including sourcing, recommending, underwriting and funding real estate loans).
  • Source, develop and build new and existing relationships to recommend deal structures (including complex deals) to the Manager Community Real Estate in order to grow future business opportunities.
  • Monitor assigned and established community real estate portfolio, identify credit risk and recommend course of action to minimize negative impact to Vancity and the member.
  • Execute on community impact transactions in support of growing the community real estate offer through collaboration across the Community Investment division.
  • Proactively manage credit risk on an assigned portfolio of CRE loans ranging from $10 - $120MM.

You have :

  • Post-secondary education, ideally with a diploma / degree in a relevant field.
  • 2 - 5 years of commercial real estate fixed-rate and construction lending experience across almost all asset classes (Multi-Family Residential, Office, Industrial, Retail).
  • Some experience underwriting commercial mortgages and completing ongoing portfolio management for an existing portfolio of loans.
  • Financial analysis skills with expertise in commercial real estate.
  • An interest and commitment in building a values-driven bank that is focused on enabling positive social, economic, and environmental change.

    Salary : The salary range for the role will be base pay ($100,000) plus incentive.
