About The Role

As an Outdoor Course Tutor / Teacher, you’ll deliver high‑quality teaching across our Outdoor Adventure Level 3 programmes, supporting learners aged 16+ to develop the skills, confidence and resilience needed to succeed in the outdoor industry and beyond.
You’ll plan and lead engaging theoretical and practical sessions — including navigation, fitness, climbing, kayaking, team leadership, and other land and water‑based activities. You will play a key role in shaping their academic progress, personal development, and their readiness for employment.
This is a role for an educator who enjoys variety, challenge, and the privilege of helping students flourish both in the classroom and in the great outdoors.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Deliver outstanding practical and classroom‑based teaching in outdoor adventure and sport activities.
• Lead progressive outdoor programmes in land and water‑based disciplines.
• Prepare high‑quality lesson plans, schemes of work and assessments.
• Support learners with pastoral care, progress monitoring, attendance, and achievement.
• Organise trips, visits, expeditions and enrichment opportunities.
• Contribute to course leadership, curriculum development and self‑assessment.
• Work collaboratively with the wider department and act as a positive role model for young people.
• Maintain high levels of safety, professionalism and safeguarding throughout your work.
