The Role
At STRIVE, we are partnered with an exciting client and a leader in their industry. They are currently seeking a skilled Maintenance Manager to join their team at oversee all site maintenance operations at the Burnaby facility. The Maintenance Manager will be responsible for leading a team, implementing preventative maintenance plan, assisting with the installation of new equipment, and be hands-on in troubleshooting equipment issues.
This will be a Monday-Friday position with a starting time of 8 AM - 4 PM. This person will be required to be flexible for on-call duties.
Responsibilities :
- Manage and coordinate all maintenance activities within the facilities.
- Conduct regular inspections of equipment and systems to identify potential issues and implement preventive maintenance measures.
- Lead a team of maintenance technicians, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure optimal performance.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems to diagnose and resolve equipment failures promptly.
- Collaborate with external vendors and suppliers to source alternative parts and materials as needed.
- Develop and maintain relationships with equipment manufacturers and service providers to stay updated on technological advancements and best practices.
- Plan and coordinate new equipment installation with a multi-disciplinary team.
- Implement safety protocols and ensure compliance with regulatory standards in all maintenance activities.
- Prepare reports on maintenance activities, including equipment performance, downtime, and maintenance costs, for management review.
- Work with a multi-disciplinary team to develop and manage maintenance budgets, minimize downtime, identify cost-saving opportunities, and optimize resource allocation.
Must Have's :
3+ years of experience leading a maintenance department in a manufacturing facility.Trade certification or relevant educational background is an asset.Strong experience working with mechanical, electrical, and electronics systems.The ability to be hands-on and excellent troubleshooting skills with the ability to quickly diagnose and resolve equipment failures.Strong communication and organizational skills.Excellent leadership skills and the ability to gain respect from employees.Flexible to be on call and carry out about 10% travel when required.Compensation :
