We are seeking a highly experienced Data Governance Consultant to lead the development and implementation of data governance frameworks for a transformative project based in Vernon. This role is crucial to establishing best practices and ensuring the organization's data assets are effectively managed, secured, and leveraged for decision-making.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive data governance framework, aligning with organizational goals and compliance requirements.
  • Define data governance policies, standards, and procedures to ensure consistency and quality across the organization.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to establish data ownership, stewardship, and accountability practices.
  • Assess existing data management practices and recommend improvements.
  • Deliver training and support to stakeholders to foster a data-driven culture.
  • Oversee data quality management initiatives, including data lineage, metadata management, and data classification.
  • Provide leadership and guidance for integrating governance practices with broader enterprise data strategies.

Required Skills and Experience :

  • Extensive experience in data governance frameworks and best practices.
  • Strong expertise in data quality management , metadata tools, and data classification methodologies.
  • Proven ability to drive cultural change and implement organization-wide governance processes.
  • Experience working in large or mid-sized enterprises, especially in data-intensive industries.
  • Familiarity with data governance tools and technologies (e.g., Collibra, Informatica, or similar).
  • Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical audiences.

  • Duration : 6 to 12 months, with potential for extension based on project needs.
  • Location : On-site work in Vernon is mandatory, with some flexibility for hybrid arrangements.
