We are seeking a highly experienced Data Governance Consultant to lead the development and implementation of data governance frameworks for a transformative project based in Vernon. This role is crucial to establishing best practices and ensuring the organization's data assets are effectively managed, secured, and leveraged for decision-making.
Key Responsibilities :
- Develop and implement a comprehensive data governance framework, aligning with organizational goals and compliance requirements.
- Define data governance policies, standards, and procedures to ensure consistency and quality across the organization.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to establish data ownership, stewardship, and accountability practices.
- Assess existing data management practices and recommend improvements.
- Deliver training and support to stakeholders to foster a data-driven culture.
- Oversee data quality management initiatives, including data lineage, metadata management, and data classification.
- Provide leadership and guidance for integrating governance practices with broader enterprise data strategies.
Required Skills and Experience :
Extensive experience in data governance frameworks and best practices.Strong expertise in data quality management , metadata tools, and data classification methodologies.Proven ability to drive cultural change and implement organization-wide governance processes.Experience working in large or mid-sized enterprises, especially in data-intensive industries.Familiarity with data governance tools and technologies (e.g., Collibra, Informatica, or similar).Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical audiences.Contract Details :
