Manager - Structural Engineering

Arcadis is looking to add a Senior Structural Engineer (P. Eng.) to join the Toronto / GTA team. The successful individual will develop, manage, and lead projects for the construction of new or modification of existing commercial, industrial, and institutional buildings and structures. Ideally, you have experience on heavy industrial capital construction projects focused on wastewater, transit, subway / LRT, and infrastructure.

This is a project leadership role, so Arcadis is seeking a well‑experienced structural professional who can build strong professional relationships with internal and external teams and stakeholders while working in a dynamic project environment. Strong technical and communication skills are essential.

Role accountabilities

• Lead, collaborate, and provide direction to the Engineering and CAD teams to ensure the teams can successfully deliver the project requirements to the client.
• Coordinate structural design and construction with other disciplines.
• Collaborate with external stakeholders and clients. Attend meetings with clients and stakeholders as needed and when required.
• Deliver structural modelling, analysis, and design, including the preparation and review of structural reports and drawings. This will also include reviewing constructability, staging drawings, construction schedules, and cost estimates.
• Identify structural deficiencies and provide remedial options.
• Review construction submittals.
• Conduct periodic site reviews to ensure construction complies with design intent and codes.

The salary range for this position is $100,000 to $135,000. The base salary represents Arcadis’ hiring range for this position. Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as location, skills, experience, and qualifications for the role.
