Cardiology Locum Consultant – NHS Ayrshire & Arran

We are seeking an experienced consultant cardiologist to cover a 1‑year maternity leave at Queen Elizabeth University Hospital, Glasgow. This fixed‑term post will be based at QEUH.

Shift pattern : 40 hours per week over 7 days, with on‑call commitment.

Key responsibilities include :

• Providing specialist cardiology care, including inpatient and weekend rota (CCU and general ward roles).
• Contributing to transthoracic and transoesophageal echo lists at QEUH.
• Participating in cardiology rota including out‑of‑hours on‑call.

Qualifications :

Applicants should be able to contribute to the team, provide high‑quality echocardiographic input and support inpatient cardiology activities.
