Reporting to the Vice President, the Director, Investor Relations (IR) plays a key role in the communication of the Bank’s financial performance and strategy to the investment community, including sell-side analysts, buy-side investors and rating agencies. The Director engages with internal and external stakeholders and is responsible for the preparation, review and delivery of key presentation materials and messaging. Relationship management with key stakeholders is also an important part of this role. Stakeholders include Executive Management, colleagues from other business lines and business functions (Global Finance, Global Risk Management, Global Communications, etc.) as well as external stakeholders such as equity analysts (buy-side and sell-side), institutional portfolio managers, retail investors and rating agencies.

Quarter end reporting is a key component of the Investor Relations communication strategy. It is considered a major information source for institutional buy and sell side professionals, as well as for retail investors.
The Director takes a leadership role in the management of the rating agency relationships, including taking the lead on preparing materials for the annual rating agency reviews. The Bank has relationships with all the major rating agencies; S&P, Moody’s, Fitch and Morningstar DBRS.
Throughout the year, various members from the executive management team will participate in equity and fixed income conferences and institutional marketing meetings and roadshows. The Director takes the lead in the preparation of materials and oversees the team and partners to ensure detailed and documented logistics and execution plans.
The Director will need to possess a strong understanding of financial statements, research reports and valuation. The Director will be responsible for reviewing and summarizing estimates and results, and should be familiar with the terminology, valuation methods, financial statements, and able to assess and distill the information in a concise manner and support the development of the team’s knowledge of these areas.
The Director also plays a key role in the organization and execution of Investor Days and stakeholder communication related to periodic corporate developments including acquisitions, divestitures, executive leadership developments, etc.
There are several other projects and ad hoc requests that require the Director’s participation. These include Investor Days, preparation of material for various leadership meetings, Board reporting, etc.
