Transmission Station Engineer

MatchBox Consulting is on the hunt for a Transmission Station Engineer. The Engineer applies professional engineering expertise to deliver medium-complexity projects and operational support safely, on time, within budget, and to quality standards. The role involves engineering design, analysis, problem resolution, planning, estimating, and quality management, with independent decision-making and guidance to other engineering professionals.

Contract : 1 year

Key Responsibilities :

Develop safe engineering solutions, including design, analysis, problem-solving, and interpretation of specifications for medium-complexity projects.

Support project and operations management to meet safety, cost, quality, and schedule objectives.

Resolve complex technical and field engineering challenges independently.

Contribute to the development of technical standards and safe engineering practices.

Ensure proper documentation retention in accordance with regulatory and professional standards.

Qualifications :

Registered Professional Engineer (P.Eng) with a valid Permit to Practice in BC or eligible for registration.

Familiarity with CAD systems, standard industry design / analysis software, and intermediate MS Office skills.

Valid Class 5 driver’s license and ability to travel to sites across BC.

Strong written and spoken English skills for professional environments.

Previous utility experience or familiarity with Inventor software is an asset.
