Job Description :

  • CAE Engineer responsibilities include creating full vehicle crash finite element models using ANSA and will perform analyses using LS-DYNA software to assess vehicle crashworthiness based on regulatory and third-party assessment criteria.
  • The candidate will also use analyses results to develop design solutions to meet vehicle safety requirements and will communicate and present analyses results to various engineering organizations.

Responsibilities :

  • Durability : Responsible for the computer aided engineering activity for vehicle programs and planning and execution of the durability CAE tasks.
  • The engineer will provide program risk assessment and conduct CAE reviews.
  • The engineer will interact with the design and test engineers
  • Requirements :

  • years of CAE durability analysis experience in automotive industry
  • Understanding of solid mechanics, durability / fatigue, vibration and dynamics
  • Demonstrated experience and expertise using CAE software including ABAQUS, FEMFAT or nCode, ANSA, Hypermesh, Optistruct, etc.
  • Good knowledge of computer simulation, numerical methods and FEA theory
  • Strong verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to travel to the US to meetings
  • Strong experience in using Abaqus and fatigue software
  • Strong analytical and technical background in quasi-static, non-linear analysis, durability / fatigue analysis, random vibration analysis
  • Strong knowledge of structural dynamics
  • Familiarity with Linux / UNIX
  • Familiarity with optimization and DOE methods
  • Good knowledge of automotive systems
  • Good skills in programming with commercial software ( Python script, Fortran, Visual Basic, C++, or Matlab Simulink)
  • Excellent oral and written skills
  • Excellent organizational, communication and teamwork skills
  • Should be proficient in use of office software
  • Education :

  • Master's degree or above in Mechanical Engineering
