• Be enrolled in an academic program that requires research as part of the curriculum.

About the position

Duties

The duties of the candidate includes :

Sherbrooke Research and Development Centre is specialized in innovative research primarily for the Canadian dairy and swine industries. Research is also conducted to reduce the greenhouse gas contribution associated with livestock production. The Centre is working towards developing an anaerobic fermentation system for animal waste. The key feature of this system is that it can function at low temperatures. It is a bilingual environment, however, the language exercised in the scientific tasks is in English.Two RAP students are expected to be recruited for the following projects :

The project was funded with the possibility of hiring a part-time student. We are looking for a candidate for a part-time position to study the operational feasibility of treating chicken, pig and / or dairy cow manures using dry / wet anaerobic digestion process.AAFC is committed to diversity and inclusion. Your application must clearly explain how you meet the following Education :

Currently enrolled or will be enrolled by the date of appointment in a Master’s or PhD program at a recognized post-secondary institution with specialization in Environmental / Civil Engineering or Applied Science.Note : Must be currently recognized as having full-time student status in the academic institution in which you are presently enrolled, pending approval of acceptance or in the process of submitting your application. Proof of enrollment will be required prior to start date and the student must be returning to full-time studies for your next academic term.
