INTERMEDIATE/SENIOR MUNICIPAL ENGINEER

Are you an experienced Intermediate/Senior Municipal Engineer looking to progress your career? We're looking for an Intermediate/Senior Municipal Engineer to join our growing team. We are open to filling this position in our Saint John office.

Youre an ideal candidate if you have:

• Currently registered, or eligible for registration, as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) with Engineers Geoscientists New Brunswick (APEGNB)
• Bachelors degree in civil engineering from an accredited university
• Well-developed interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
• Valid drivers license and have access to a personal vehicle for work related travel

A typical day on the job might look like:

• Leading and managing civil engineering projects from concept through completion, ensuring delivery on time, on budget, and within scope
  • municipal and transportation infrastructure,
  • commercial and residential subdivision land development,
  • site grading and mass detailed site earthworks for underground services
• Preparation of stamped engineering drawings, quality assurance/control specifications and quantity estimates issued for tender and construction project administration.
• Storm water modelling and management civil design.
• Organizing/carrying out construction quantity surveying / field inspections.
• Developing and maintaining strong client relationships
• Preparing proposals and supporting business development initiatives
• Participating in the implementation and adaptation of existing Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) Policies, Procedures, Standards, and Guidelines in the execution of all project work.
• Acting in support of other GEMTEC offices when needed to complete projects.
• Performing other related duties as required.
• Adhering to all company policies.
• Other duties as required.

Your background and what you bring:

• 5+ years of experience in civil engineering practice
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment
• Excellent organizational and time management skills with a commitment to quality.
• Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D 2018 (or newer version)
• Experience with ArchGIS and/or QGIS software platforms would be considered an asset, as would experience with hydraulic modeling software suites.
