Accounts Payable Clerk (remote)

We are looking for a meticulous and efficient Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team on a short-term contract basis. This position offers an opportunity to work remotely while contributing to the timely processing of invoices and vendor management. Based in Vancouver, British Columbia, this role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has a keen eye for detail.

Responsibilities :

• Process and verify a high volume of invoices to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies.
• Code and enter invoices into the financial system manually with precision.
• Set up new vendors in the system and maintain accurate vendor records.
• Track invoices requiring approvals and follow up with relevant managers to resolve discrepancies.
• Generate accounts payable reports and compile payment lists using Excel.
• Adhere to weekly deadlines for invoice processing and payment preparation.
• Ensure all invoices have proper documentation and approvals before posting.
• Collaborate with the finance team to address any issues related to accounts payable.
• Maintain organized records of transactions and vendor details for auditing purposes.
• Proven experience in accounts payable roles, preferably in high-volume settings.
• Proficiency in using financial systems; experience with FinancialForce is an asset.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel for data analysis and report preparation.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet strict deadlines.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Comfortable working independently in a remote environment.
• Knowledge of invoice coding and reconciliation processes.
• Effective communication skills for liaising with vendors and internal teams.
