A Day in the Life :

Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, the Journeyman Electrician / Instrumentation Technician provides electrical and instrumentation support services to plant operations, troubleshoot equipment, install new services, maintain safety of employees and facilities, communicate with vendors, keep accurate records, and participate in emergency callouts.

What You’ll Be Doing :

• Perform all duties safely, display safety leadership, cultivate a zero-incident safety culture, and comply with all government and corporate safety requirements.
• Maintain all electrical equipment, PLC / HMI, power distribution, and related services within areas of expertise.
• Safely operate plant equipment including forklift, aerial work platform and skid steer.
• Responsible for doing preventive maintenance (breakdown calls and be able to perform trouble shooting) checks as required by preventive maintenance schedule.
• Responsible for following work orders processes in place, contacting vendors, ordering supplies and keeping accurate records.
• Responsible for maintaining working area and electrical warehouse in a safe, tidy condition.
• Responsible for on-the-job training of apprentice workers.
• Take ownership of the facility and exemplify quality attention to details
• Provide quality workmanship and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Perform other duties as required.
