Our ability to meet deadlines and budgets as well as our vast expertise in the field allow us to actively participate in large-scale projects such as the Site C hydro-electric power station located near Fort St-John in British Columbia, the Samuel-De-Champlain Bridge, and the Réseau Express Métropolitain (REM). EBC is positioned as a true leader in this sector. Our range of specialized services has made our reputation in Canada.

EBC Inc. is seeking a Survey Data Processor for our Ladore seismic upgrade project located in Campbell River, BC.

The Survey Data Processor supports construction projects by preparing layout files, analyzing technical data, and producing accurate deliverables used in the field. This role works closely with surveyors, modelers, and site teams to ensure precision, consistency, and reliability of survey and layout information throughout the project lifecycle.

Responsibilities
  • Create layout and implantation files for construction sites.

  • Analyze and extract data from 3D models provided by designers or modelers.
  • Process, organize, and validate data collected by Field Surveyors and remote-controlled and automated machinery.
  • Produce technical deliverables, including layout and construction plans and quantity tracking, work progress tracking, technical validations, as-built drawings, etc.
  • Apply knowledge of field data collection methods, including file naming conventions, point numbering systems, project point codes, identification of critical elements to be surveyed, etc.
  • Provide technical support to the Chief Surveyor for complex calculation methods.
  • Collaborate closely with modelers to support and fulfill technical requirements.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in the construction and/or surveying field.
  • Strong understanding of construction site realities and survey operations.
  • Proven experience working with technical data, calculations, and layout processes.

Desired Profile & Core Competencies
  • High level of rigor and precision.
  • Strong focus on data accuracy and calculation reliability.
  • Ability to work independently on complex technical tasks.
  • Strong sense of responsibility when handling critical project data.
  • Ability to work closely with Field Surveyors, Modelers, Chief Surveyor and Construction site teams.
  • Capable of clearly explaining technical methods and requirements.
  • Ability to transition between technical calculations, field support, coordination and documentation
  • Flexible and responsive to evolving project and site demands.

Benefits

  • 4 weeks' vacation per year.
  • Comprehensive group insurance program.
  • RRSP group program with an employer contribution to a DPSP.
  • Employee assistance program.
  • Continuing education.
  • Active social club.
  • Friendly and stimulating work environment.
  • Large scale projects.
  • Corporate Clothing Program upon hiring.

In accordance with applicable pay transparency legislation, EBC Inc. has included the expected salary range for this role, which is $125,000–$175,000. Compensation within the range is determined based on relevant experience, qualifications, localization, and internal equity. Base salary is one component of EBC’s comprehensive total rewards offering, which may include performance-based incentives, extended health and wellness benefits, retirement savings programs, and career development opportunities.
