Pay : $18.00 / hour
Hours : Monday - Friday, 5 : 00 AM - 1 : 30 PM
Start Date : ASAP
We are seeking a Custodian for a full-time position for our client, a well-established institution located in Standish, ME . The Custodian will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and ensuring a safe environment for staff and visitors. Success in this role means demonstrating attention to detail, efficiency, and a positive attitude while performing daily custodial tasks.
As a Custodian, you will be responsible for :
Cleaning, sweeping, vacuuming, washing floors, and collecting trash.
Stocking restrooms and ensuring all areas are properly sanitized.
Setting up for events and assisting with minor repairs.
Identifying and responding to safety concerns in a timely manner.
Working professionally with staff, vendors, and team members.
The ideal candidate for this role will have :
A High School Diploma or equivalent.
At least 1 year of janitorial experience in a similar setting : schools, office buildings, etc.
A team-oriented mindset and a positive attitude.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Experience with floor extraction or refinishing (a major plus!).
A valid driver's license.
