The Alzheimer Society of B.C. is looking for a passionate and highly organized Resource Development Coordinator to play a key role in supporting the work of our fundraising department. In this dynamic role you will help support the success of our signature events, annual giving initiatives and corporate sponsorship opportunities. Reporting to the Associate Director, the Resource Development Coordinator will work collaboratively with colleagues across the department in support of our fundraising events, including Breakfast to Remember and the IG Wealth Management Walk for Alzheimer’s . In addition to events, the role will support annual giving initiatives to engage donors and strengthen community contributions and assist with corporate sponsorships deliverables to illustrate fundraising impact. The position will also provide administrative and technical assistance to the team while working collaboratively to support the department’s success.
Title : Resource Development Coordinator
Starting salary range : $53,300 - $57,000
Contract : Permanent
Hours : Full time - 35 hours per week
Location : Lower Mainland - Hybrid
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Working with Events Officers, supports the work of fundraising events across the organization with a focus on Breakfast to Remember and the IG Wealth Management Walk for Alzheimer’s , as well as other events as needed.
- Supports corporate sponsorship activities, including communications and preparation of proposals and fulfillment reports.
- Collaborating with team members, supports the annual giving fundraising portfolios, including the direct marketing and tribute giving portfolios.
- Plays a key role in donor relations by managing data pulls, mail merges and personalized donor stewardship communications. This includes editing and customizing heartfelt thank-you letters and other outreach materials to strengthen donor connections.
- Supports online fundraising tools while keeping the donor database updated. This includes generating reports and maintaining data related to online donations, such as updating forms, and ensuring everything runs smoothly.
- Serves as a face of the Society, acting as the first point of contact for donor, donation and event-related inquiries. As a customer service liaison and ambassador, provides helpful support, builds positive relationships and ensures every interaction reflects the organization’s mission and values.
- Organizes the preparation and coordination of branded support materials for mail-outs and events. From creating impactful packages to arranging shipping, you’ll play a crucial role in ensuring that every outreach effort is polished, professional and fully supports our mission.
- Supports our dedicated volunteers by capturing key action items at committee meetings and fostering strong relationships. You’ll play a vital role in ensuring communication and creating a positive, collaborative environment.
- Attend and support key fundraising events, actively engaging with supporters and contributing to the success of each initiative.
- Other duties as required to meet the needs of the role in relation to organizational goals.
ABOUT YOU
You are excited to immerse yourself in the world of fundraising and be part of a busy and high functioning team. Working within an environment of multiple fundraising activities, you have great administrative, communication and organizing skills, pay meticulous attention to detail and are eager to support team members in various fundraising initiatives. You have at least three years of experience in a related, generalist function and you’re excited at the prospect of joining a vibrant fundraising team and getting your fundraising career moving forward. You are keen to learn new skills and want to work at an organization that allows room to grow in your role. You are a team player and can also work well independently.
