Responsibilities

What You'll Be Doing : The Role as a Production Technologist, you will be crucial in ensuring the quality and reliability of our electronic assemblies and components. Your main responsibilities will include :

  • Testing and Troubleshooting : Conducting the testing and inspection of electronic assemblies and components. You will troubleshoot, repair, and perform failure analysis on electronics, electrical components, cables, wiring harnesses, mechanical products, and software products.
  • Quality Assurance : Performing quality checks on ongoing builds and completing thorough quality inspections against existing standards.
  • Process Improvement : Initiating action to prevent product nonconformity and optimizing processes to increase efficiencies.
  • Documentation : Documenting all production and test activities and assisting in maintaining assembly, test, and configuration management records.
  • Rework and Correction : Troubleshooting and reworking in-process failed products and taking corrective actions. You will control further processing of nonconforming product until the issue is corrected
  • Qualifications

    To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and experience :

  • A Diploma or degree in Electronics Technology or Electrical Engineering from a recognized institution is required.
  • A solid understanding of all aspects of electronic circuit board testing (including component handling, soldering, and cleaning in a static-controlled environment).
  • Strong competence and abilities to troubleshoot and repair complex circuits.
  • Solid understanding of electronic hardware assembly, including cable assembly, mechanical support hardware, and enclosure assembly.
  • WHMIS Certification.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and an ability to work with minimum supervision.
  • Experience :

  • A minimum of 1-2 years of experience in an electronics design and production environment.
  • Experience in a production test and repair position is necessary to meet full qualifications.
  • Experience in high-reliability soldering
