We are seeking a Customer Service Representative to join our team in the service industry, located in Thornhill, Ontario. As a Customer Service Representative, you will be responsible for managing customer interactions, maintaining accurate records, and processing applications. This role offers a contract to permanent employment opportunity, where you will play a key role in managing customer accounts and ensuring their needs are met.

Responsibilities :

• Efficiently process and manage customer credit applications
• Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and transactions
• Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly
• Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action when necessary
• Prepare and manage correspondence on claim files, including letters to members and third-party reports
• Process payments related to claim files such as appraisal fees and police report fees
• Support the team by preparing and sending proof of loss documents to expedite claim settlements
• Request official reports like police reports and fire incident reports to aid in claims investigation
• Dispatch claim files to legal representatives when requested
• Process, sort, and distribute incoming correspondence appropriately
• Make outbound calls to members to obtain the first notice of loss on new claims reported after hours or online
• Answer inbound calls and efficiently route the callers to the appropriate department, subject to business demands.
• Minimum of 1 year experience in a customer service role
• Proven track record of delivering excellent customer service
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
• Proficiency in using customer service software and databases
• Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and accuracy
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Ability to handle stressful situations with professionalism
• Flexibility to work in various shifts, including weekends and holidays
• High school diploma or equivalent; higher degree in a related discipline will be appreciated
• Customer-centric approach with a positive attitude
• Proficiency in English; second language is a plus.
