Job Description / Duties

Key Responsibilities :

  • Accountable for the processing and the documentation of all renewals and endorsements for assigned Insurance Advisors through the Broker Management System (BMS).
  • Maintain BMS client files up to date with current information and organized per the One Insurance file management guidelines.
  • Responsible for new business submissions to insurance markets including fielding questions from markets, gathering and organizing market responses and quotes received.
  • Responsible for monitoring and alerting Insurance Advisors on potential issues or concerns regarding accounts.
  • Working in a team supporting Insurance Advisors when they are away or unavailable.

Qualifications / Required Skills

Ideal Skills & Qualifications :

  • 2+ years of experience in the insurance industry with preference for experience in Commercial and / or Farm
  • Experience using Epic, or other insurance software and various insurance portals is a must.
  • Strong demonstrated working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Ex : Word, Excel, Outlook) and a general proficiency with computers
  • Must have a Manitoba Driver’s License and ability to travel to all ONE Insurance locations when required.
  • Organized and efficient with strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask
  • Flexibility and a positive team player approach with effective communication skills
  • Level 2 insurance license is required.
  • Knowledge of a wide variety of risk classes and ability to handle both large and small accounts.
  • Thorough understanding of Insurance markets, policies / wordings and procedures are essential to this position.
