Job Description

Mimico Cruising Club, located in the heart of Etobicoke, Ontario, is a private yacht club with over 500 members. Our mission is to uphold the highest standards of excellence in all areas of hospitality. The club boasts a vibrant racing program, a bustling patio and bar, and live entertainment every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

Qualifications for the Food & Beverage Manager Position at Mimico Cruising Club :

Education and Experience :

A degree or diploma in Hospitality Management, Culinary Arts, or a related field is preferred.

Minimum of 5 years of experience in food and beverage operations, with at least 2 years in a managerial or supervisory role.
Experience in private club operations is an asset.

Leadership and Management :

Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop a diverse team.

Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with attention to detail.

Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, control costs, and achieve financial targets.

Hospitality and Member-Focused :

A commitment to delivering exceptional service to members and guests.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage effectively with members, staff, and vendors.

Operational Expertise :

Comprehensive knowledge of food and beverage service, menu planning, and event execution.

Experience with inventory control, purchasing, and supplier relations.

Familiarity with health and safety regulations, including food handling and workplace safety standards.

Technology Proficiency :

Proficiency in point-of-sale (POS) systems, reservation software, and Microsoft Office Suite.

Experience with hospitality management software is an advantage.

Problem-Solving and Innovation :

Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle high-pressure situations with professionalism.

Creativity in developing menus, events, and promotions to enhance member satisfaction and increase revenue.

Availability and Flexibility :

Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required to oversee events and operations.

A hands-on approach to managing daily operations and ensuring smooth service delivery.

Certifications :

Smart Serve certification or equivalent is mandatory.
