Mimico Cruising Club, located in the heart of Etobicoke, Ontario, is a private yacht club with over 500 members. Our mission is to uphold the highest standards of excellence in all areas of hospitality. The club boasts a vibrant racing program, a bustling patio and bar, and live entertainment every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

Qualifications for the Food & Beverage Manager Position at Mimico Cruising Club :

Education and Experience :

A degree or diploma in Hospitality Management, Culinary Arts, or a related field is preferred.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in food and beverage operations, with at least 2 years in a managerial or supervisory role.
  • Experience in private club operations is an asset.

Leadership and Management :

Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop a diverse team.

  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, control costs, and achieve financial targets.

    • Hospitality and Member-Focused :

    A commitment to delivering exceptional service to members and guests.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage effectively with members, staff, and vendors.

    • Operational Expertise :

    Comprehensive knowledge of food and beverage service, menu planning, and event execution.

  • Experience with inventory control, purchasing, and supplier relations.
  • Familiarity with health and safety regulations, including food handling and workplace safety standards.

    • Technology Proficiency :

    Proficiency in point-of-sale (POS) systems, reservation software, and Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Experience with hospitality management software is an advantage.

    • Problem-Solving and Innovation :

    Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle high-pressure situations with professionalism.

  • Creativity in developing menus, events, and promotions to enhance member satisfaction and increase revenue.

    • Availability and Flexibility :

    Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required to oversee events and operations.

  • A hands-on approach to managing daily operations and ensuring smooth service delivery.

    • Certifications :

    Smart Serve certification or equivalent is mandatory.
