The Role

The Lead Software Engineer (Derivative and Wire Settlements) provides technical expertise in developing a global platform for derivative and cash settlements. Operating in a senior capacity within a platform development team the role drives delivery of cross-regional projects and system upgrades enabling process optimization and platform modernization for GWO.

You will lead the effort to build a payment settlements platform working closely with business and technology teams to shape the roadmap and manage the solution. You will also help reduce risks by coordinating across teams and ensuring smooth operations in your area. You will manage project delivery and solutions to address complex business challenges. Working with cross-functional teams you will help build scalable high-quality solutions with strong controls that meet compliance and risk requirements while delivering value to business partners and customers.

Is this role right for you In this role you will :

• Partner with key stakeholders including business users product teams managers and technology groups to gather and analyze business requirements translating them into actionable plans and functional specifications.
• Lead efforts to modernize applications enhancing operational efficiency aligning with enterprise architecture standards and maintaining software currency across the banks systems.
• Provide mentorship and leadership to the Development team supporting the Director / Senior Manager with input on performance evaluations and development planning.
• Contribute to multiple concurrent projects as a team member including support for production and lower environments during both standard and off-hours.
