As the province’s largest energy provider with more than 100 years of knowledge and experience, we proudly deliver renewable energy, natural gas, electricity and propane to 1.3 million customers.

We're actively seeking new talent to join our mission of delivering a stronger energy future in B.C. As one of BC's Top Employers with a diverse team of over 2,700 employees, we are committed to a safe and inclusive culture where each of us can connect, belong, and grow. Join us, and together, let's shape a brighter future for B.C.

Position Overview

You’re a highly organized communications professional with a strong digital foundation and an interest in how content is planned and delivered online. You bring a detail focused approach to your projects and are comfortable working within established web content and social media strategies to help deliver effective outcomes. You enjoy turning direction into action and supporting day-to-day digital communications activities, with a particular focus on implementing web tactics that support campaigns and content priorities.

In this role, you will support the planning, execution, and optimization of web tactical initiatives that align with broader communications and business goals. You will work closely with advisors, content strategists, subject matter experts, and web services to translate strategic direction into clear, well organized web tactical plans and support their implementation. You will also provide support for digital content across email and social media, ensuring consistency and best-practice execution.

In this role, you will:

  • Collaborate with internal partners to translate content strategies into clear, actionable web tactical plans.
  • Support website content governance by ensuring content is accurate, accessible, user-focused, and aligned with digital standards and best practices.
  • Work with web services to schedule, implement, and quality-check web updates from production through to launch.
  • Ensure digital projects are completed from conception to launch, helping to identify potential issues and providing solutions, while reporting on successes.
  • Assist with the development and execution of digital content across email and social media channels, ensuring alignment with approved messaging and tone.
  • Support social media activities as required by assisting with content creation, scheduling, monitoring inquiries, and escalating issues as required.
  • Stay current with digital communications trends, usability standards, and content marketing best practices, with emphasis on web and owned channels.

What it takes:

  • A diploma in marketing, communications, or related discipline plus three years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Digital expertise: Demonstrated experience translating strategy into detailed, executable web plans, including timelines, content requirements, and performance considerations. Hands-on experience supporting website updates, content audits, and coordination with web publishing teams. Exposure to multi-channel digital initiatives spanning web, email, and social media, with an understanding of how channels work together.
  • Analytical Mindset: Ability to interpret web and digital performance data to inform refinements and continuous improvement.
  • Organized: Strong ability to manage multiple workstreams, meet deadlines, and maintain attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
  • Collaboration: Comfortable working cross-functionally with internal teams and external vendors, contributing proactively and communicating clearly.
  • Creativity: Understanding of a range of digital content formats, including web pages, blogs, articles, newsletters, and basic social media content.
  • Technical Proficiency: Intermediate skills with Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite, content management systems, social media platforms, and web analytics tools such as Google Analytics.

In this role, you will have the option to participate in a flexible work program, enabling you to work from an approved flex location in British Columbia up to 85 days a year (equivalent to approximately two days a week), subject to business or operational needs.

Our engaging workplace offers a wide range of challenging opportunities, while being safe, inclusive, and diverse. We offer a competitive salary and benefits package, while supporting life-long career development. We also encourage volunteerism and nourish the need to give back to your community.
