Domtar - Howe Sound Mill currently has an opening in our Maintenance Department for a Red Seal certified Heavy Duty Mechanic.

This is a bargaining unit position with a wage of $48.66 / hr. A competitive and comprehensive benefits package including extended health and dental, vision care and pension plan is included.

The schedule is Monday - Thursday 7 : 00am - 5 : 00pm. Overtime is compensated as per the Howe Sound Labour Agreement.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Must hold an Inter-provincial Heavy Duty Mechanic Red Seal ticket
• Experience with Industrial mobile equipment
• Superior troubleshooting, machine diagnostic and repair skills
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Be a safety leader by adhering to and by meeting all safety requirements and policies
