Job Description

CEDA is currently seeking Class 1 Operators for our Pressure and Vac division at our Bonnyville AB location.  Candidates must live in the Bonnyville area as the work is local.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Operate and maintain combo, semi-vac, super B, tri-quad, pressure truck equipment and various specialty tools
  • Complete minor maintenance and checks on equipment
  • Ensure safety for all team members and property
  • Provide quality services to our clients
  • Work as part of a team and follow direction from supervision
  • Learn new skills every day by rigging in and out specialty equipment
  • Leave the job site in better condition that when we got there. Clean, safe and job done.
  • Haul hoses, PPE and tools to where the work is being done
  • Complete required paperwork for projects and jobs
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Qualifications

  • Class 1 licence
  • Driving is in your nature, a manual transmission is a breeze (10, 13 or 18 speed, doesn’t matter you will pass CEDA’s driver assessment with flying colours)
  • Will Consider class 3 with experience on Pressure & Vacuum equipment
  • 1+ years’ experience in an industrial environment on pressure and vacuum equipment is preferred
  • CSO and H2S Alive certifications are required at time of offer
  • Able to provide a drivers abstract with no more than 5 demerits in the last 3 years
  • This role may require working at heights and within confined spaces
  • Able to provide a negative pre-employment drug and alcohol test, booked by CEDA
  • Skills

  • Strong mechanical aptitude
  • You are safety focused when it comes to people and equipment
  • Perform physically demanding work including climbing multiple flights of stairs and carrying equipment (able to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis)
  • You have the ability to work well in a team, share a laugh with your coworkers and get the job done safely
