Job Description

What you will do as a General Labourer :

  • Outdoor Work : Thrive in outdoor environments, working effectively in various weather conditions.
  • Physical Demands : Confidently handle physically demanding tasks with a strong work ethic.
  • Pallet Handling : Assess, sort, and manage pallets with precision and attention to detail.
  • Tool Operation : Safely operate pneumatic nail guns and other tools essential to the role.
  • Inventory Management : Adhere to and enforce proper inventory procedures, ensuring accurate reporting.
  • Versatility : Take on additional duties as assigned, showcasing adaptability and a proactive approach.
  • Flexible Support : Provide temporary or fill-in support for production or yard operations as needed, maintaining smooth operations across all areas.

Qualifications

  • Reading Comprehension : Ability to read and understand basic instructions, ensuring tasks are executed with precision and accuracy.
  • Writing Proficiency : Skilled in drafting simple memos and reports to facilitate clear and effective communication.
  • Verbal Communication : Strong verbal communication skills, with the ability to give and receive instructions, share safety information, and collaborate effectively in small group settings.
  • Quality Assurance : Proven ability to perform essential duties in line with company standards, maintaining a high level of quality and consistency.
  • Machinery Operation : Demonstrated expertise in operating various machinery, including forklifts, with a focus on safety and efficiency.
  • Problem-Solving : Strong problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to manage and resolve situations as they arise effectively.

    • This is a physically demanding position. The employee must frequently lift and / or move up to 50 pounds (23kg). Manual dexterity, teamwork, hand-eye co-ordination and a combination of sitting, standing and walking required.
