Job Title : Heavy Duty Mechanic
Location : York Region, ON
Length of Assignment : Permanent
Salary : $$
Our client in York Region, ON is actively looking for a Heavy Duty Mechanic to join their team.
Position Description :
Maintain a clean and organized work station;
Troubleshoot and estimate costs of repairs;
Verify and inspect rental equipment to ensure proper functioning and to detect faults and avoid malfunctions;
Adjust equipment and repairs or replace defective parts, components or systems using hand and power tools;
Test repaired equipment for proper performance and to ensure manufacturers' specifications compliance;
Clean, lubricate and perform routine maintenance work on equipment;
Service attachments and working tools;
Order parts as needed;
Complete different service reports.
Skills & Qualifications :
An experienced technician, or rd / th year apprentice with the ability to diagnosis, perform failure analysis, and repair all types of construction equipment.
Existing knowledge of construction equipment and building products;
Hands on experience in the repair and service / maintenance requirements for various types of construction equipment;
Performs work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy in accordance with company and factory standards;
Ability to work independently, and in a team atmosphere;
Good communication and people skills;
Strong time management and organizational skills;
Operate and maintain all shop equipment and ensure a safe, clean & organized shop area;
All other duties as assigned by the Branch & Service Managers.
Additional Qualifications and Skills
Applicant must be able to perform heavy lifting, as heavy lifting will be required frequently;
The ideal candidate will have previous experience with CAT Equipment;
Apprentices are encouraged to apply;
