Divisional Director Video / AI – Toronto / Waterloo / Guelph / Kitchener Scope of Position : We are looking for a technology leader who is passionate about building amazing software products and solutions and enjoys working with stakeholders across the business. The candidate will be responsible for the Product Development of Client’s Video Product lines, including the machine vision / artificial intelligence group. The candidate will play a critical role in the definition and realization of the future company roadmap. Key Goals : Build a strong and creative teamGenerate a culture in the team in which innovation can thrivePresent technology vision and roadmap to a diverse set of corporate audiences including executive meetings, customers, and the business communityCreate breakthrough technology-based products and solutionsLeverage the company assetsExpand & enhance current portfolioAs a member of the group technology leadership team, collaborate to achieve sustainable growth Key Responsibilities : Identify and capture market and technological opportunities to guide research and development focusDevelop technological products / solutions that can support market needsManage the video product development, video product technical and technological management, and AI / Machine Vision teamsEvaluate new and emerging technology on an ongoing basisProactively lead the development and implementation of robust strategic and tactical technology-based products and business solutions within established time frames, quality standards, and corporate financial parametersIdentify ways to integrate Client’s products and softwareCoach direct reports on how to cultivate and enhance strong relationships with key customersSet best practices based on SW development tools and methodologies to ensure maximum efficiencyManage group resources to ensure product release schedules support maintenance revenue streamsCollaborate with other engineering managers on a common vision across products and solutionsBe a trusted point of contact for internal Sales and Marketing teams for product functionality, competitive comparisons, and implementations Competency Profile : Motivating : Encourages others by creating enthusiasm, a feeling of investment, and a desire to excel; inspires others to follow and fosters a healthy attitude to work by recognizing positive contributions. Preferred Experience and Education : Degree in Computer Science with seven to ten years of experience leading technology product development and product architectureFive to ten years of experience leading both a development team and driving product marketingExperience in skilled hiring, developing, leading, motivating, and coaching a cross-section of technology professionals in leadership rolesMust be able to demonstrate senior-level experience in the architecture, development, release cycle, and delivery of software products to the enterprise marketExperience with Scrum methodology and Agile practicesA background in security would be an assetProven ability to develop a product vision by understanding, documenting, and prioritizing the requirements of the market, including the detailed requirements of end users based on daily use cases#J-18808-Ljbffr
