Position Summary
Do you have a passion for nursing? We have the position for you! We are seeking a motivated Registered Nurse with a dedication for delivering compassionate patient care to join our Infection Prevention and Control team at Prince Rupert Regional Hospital.
Assists in the provision of service for the Northern Health Infection Prevention and Control Program for acute and continuing care facilities by developing education materials and implementing transmission precaution strategies and the surveillance, investigation and reporting of Nosocomial (healthcare acquired) infections, in order to minimize risk of infection to patients / resident / clients, staff and visitors. This position will promote continuous quality improvement methodology and epidemiological principles to carry out the functions of the service and this will be done within a fiscally responsible environment. This position reports to the Regional Manager Infection Prevention and Control.
Shift Rotation / Hours of work : Monday to Friday, Days - 08 : 00 to 16 : 00
Prince Rupert Regional Hospital is a 24-bed facility that sees an average of 22,000 ER visits per year. It is a fully equipped facility with Medical Imaging, Laboratory, ICU, ER and Maternity. Services include :
