Purchasing and Procurement Director
Salary : $100,000 - $130,000
Hours : Monday to Friday, 7 : 00 AM to 3 : 30 PM
Location : St-Jérôme

Reporting directly to the CEO, the Purchasing and Procurement Director plays a key strategic and operational role within the organization. You will be responsible for optimizing procurement processes, negotiating with suppliers, and ensuring continuous supply.
Additionally, you will oversee teams responsible for purchasing and logistics. You will also be in charge of planning, organizing, and controlling activities related to the supply chain and contract management.

Responsibilities
Develop and implement a global sourcing strategy aligned with the company’s objectives.
Oversee the entire procurement process, from identifying needs to placing orders and receiving deliveries.
Analyze and identify new sourcing opportunities, potential suppliers, and propose innovative solutions to optimize procurement processes.
Build and maintain strategic relationships with suppliers, negotiate advantageous contracts, and regularly monitor supplier performance.
Place orders with suppliers and ensure timely delivery.
Analyze and manage purchasing needs based on company requirements to ensure material availability when needed.
Manage and lead a team of buyers, fostering their professional development and ensuring performance.
Prepare reports and analyses for the management team, providing strategic insights on spending, cost savings, and overall procurement performance.
Review orders and follow up with suppliers to ensure all orders are confirmed.
Regularly review issues related to product shortages, shipment of purchases, and cancel orders if they are no longer needed.
Monitor outstanding orders continuously.
Update information in the ERP system.
Perform other related tasks as required.
Qualifications
Required Experience and Education :
Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business administration, or a related field.
Minimum of 10 years of experience in a similar role.
Bilingualism required (French / English, both written and spoken).
Strong knowledge of SAP.
Skills to Prioritize :
Strong analytical skills to assess data and market trends.
Excellent written and verbal communication and negotiation skills.
Ability to build and maintain trust-based relationships with suppliers.
Results-oriented with a constant focus on cost optimization.
Proficiency in ERP software.
In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
Bilingual.
High level of autonomy, sound judgment, and strong sense of responsibility.
Ability to work in a growing environment.
Capacity to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
