Position DescriptionJob Description – Children’s Ministry DirectorPart-time position 20 hr / weekOverviewWe seek an energetic, fun individual who loves God and is passionate about children’s ministry. You will be working with a team that supports each other to be successful in their position and practice healthy collaboration. This is a great position for students seeking on-the-job experience while in school or someone with a heart for children’s ministry who does not have time for a full-time position.Responsibilities Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum and activities for childrenOversee and coordinate a weekly Sunday school program for the spiritual development of our children to be the next generation to love JesusRecruit, train, and mentor volunteers for various children's ministry rolesChampion our annual Vacation Bible School in the summerFind ways to equip and support parents of our childrenDevelop a mid-week outreach program to connect our children with others from the local communityParticipate in the organization of church special events throughout the year Requirements A vibrant and authentic personal faith in Jesus ChristA passion for the spiritual development of childrenPrevious experience in children's ministry or a related field is preferredStrong communicator and collaboratorOrganizational and administrative abilitiesFlexibility to work on Sundays and attend occasional evening or weekend events Working Details 20 hours per week, Sunday worship includedSalary $20 per hour, plus benefits (pension, group medical) If you are interested in applying for this position, please submit your resume, along with a cover letter detailing your relevant experience and why you feel called to serve in children's ministry.
