In the Edmonton region we have manufacturing facilities in Edmonton, Sherwood Park and Nisku.
We offer various shifts :
- Rotating Day Shift (continental)
- Monday to Thursday Nightshift
- Weekend Nightshift (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday)
The Production Coordinator role is to act as a supporting cast in the daily tasks as required by the production team. They play an integral role in assembly line setup, data collection and overall production efficiency. This is an entry level position that could lead into future roles such as a production supervisor or project manager.
Roles & Responsibilities
Participation in kaizen events; dissection station by station, assembly line operation, starting with bottle necks, working as a larger team to come up with solutions.
Daily visual audits of station completeness including materials, consumables, area cleanliness (5S), manpower, QC checklists and drawings.
Directly responsible for ensuring task times are accurately collected and routine audits of the times are conducted to ensure accuracy, uploading of times into the MERP.
Being a watchful eye to ensure proper processes are being followed and units are being assembled in a quick and efficient manner with the best tooling for the job.
Aiding in assembly line planning and setup; station lists, fabricated material, consumables, assembly line and work cell layouts, spaghetti diagrams.
Maintain proper and up to date drawings in the stations (help handle doc control), aid in answering questions related to the builds.
Organize and help deliver project kick offs to the manufacturing team, prior to release to the floor staff.
Ensuring a final check is completed of all major resell components prior to releasing a project to the stage of construction kick-off.
Assembly line component design coordination; jigs, tables, fixtures, lifting devices.
Helping to manage ECRs, data capture off the floor.
Performs all duties in accordance with Silent-Aire Limited Partnership safety program standards and Alberta Occupational Health and Safety Act, Regulations, and Code.
Other duties as required.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
Post-Secondary Education in a related discipline.
0-2 years of direct work experience in project management.
Able to effectively communicate with all types of staff, including technical, professional, and upper management.
Strong knowledge of Internet technologies (eg- Excel, Word, Outlook)
Strong problem identification and problem resolution skills.
Ability to create and edit project documents, materials, and presentations.
Flexibility to adjust to shifting priorities and deadlines.
Working Conditions
Commercial / Industrial and Office environments.
Exercise caution, as the environment presents many naturally occurring hazards.
Always adhere to safety policies (wear protective equipment).
Overtime as required.
Sitting and standing for extended periods of time.
Able to attend and conduct presentations.
Manual dexterity required to use desktop computer and peripherals.
