About this opportunity :

The Shift Lead Coordinator of Field Accommodations is accountable / responsible for the planning and execution of the FA Business Plan. Remaining focused on fueling our workforce through safe & comfortable accommodations that provide consistent quality food, shelter, technology, and recreation. The successful candidate will be accountable for all process delivery within area managed and to liaise with Manager, FA on a 1-3 year business plan focusing on the daily ongoing business operations and program delivery, with on call duties, 24 hours while on shift in case of emergency situations.

This is a full-time employee position working a shift of 11.43 hrs per day, 7 days on, 7 days off.

Christina Lake has full-service camp facilities.

Depending on your place of residence and your shift rotation, bus and / or air transportation to / from site is offered from designated departure points in select locations.

Christina Lake is serviced by flight Hubs in Calgary and Edmonton as well as bus transportation to site from La Corey, AB. and Lac La Biche, AB

What you’ll do :

Develop and steward regular governance program to address critical HSE and operational risks while coordinating the rollout of annual / monthly HSE events / topics for employees

Liaise with CVE project teams and partners to provide camp solutions that align with camp strategies for new work requiring field accommodations

Support annual FA Opex Budget and FA project capital expenditures – Budget build up, PAR documentation, and WRE Schedule alignment

Responsible to support forecasting, QR codes feedback, accruals and budget management

Provide QA / QC role in preparation for project management gate meetings prior to execution with cross functional Decision Review Boards (DRB’s)

Liaise closely with Supply Chain Management representative to ensure accountability with service providers, new contracts, and contract renewables of Service Providers

Facilitate and support FA team with CVE field teams to ensure all simultaneous operations (SIMOPs) and / or concurrent work hazards are addressed

Steward and maintain standardization to the FA Knowledge Management Framework, TOR’s, and action logs

Steward towards external geographical peer partnerships on market intelligence to benchmark our FA offerings and for planning purposes

Monitor compliance and delivery of FA infrastructure data regarding HSE, Building Envelope, and Critical systems

Demonstrate competence in data review : FA Power BI Data – Long Term Forecasting, QR Code feedback, Occupancy, OPEX / CAPEX Spend, Forecasting vs. Actual critical metrics

Plan and lead FA Meeting Architecture that is based on due diligence on internal and external collaborator mapping

Liaise with WRE Data analytics ensuring the success indicators for FA are accurate, WRE schedule is up to date and maintained, and driving accountability to the right FA pillars

Who you are :

Our ideal candidate will have the following minimum requirements :

Legally authorized to work in Canada

8+ years’ experience supporting remote industrial operations is required

Minimum 5 years’ experience leading accommodation field teams is preferred

Formalized training in facility, hospitality management and / or camp operations

Working knowledge of regulatory requirements for health, safety, and environmental governing field camps

Work independently and / or function in a team environment, concentrating on team goals and objectives

Able to coordinate and maintain project management framework

Ability to lead, empower, mentor, and guide others while effectively managing fluctuating workloads and setting priorities to meet deadlines.

As this position has been identified as safety sensitive, employment of a final candidate selected for this position will be conditional upon successful completion of required pre-employment medical and alcohol / drug assessments

For this position you will be required to maintain a Class 5 driver's license, a satisfactory driving record, and adhere to the appropriate Company policies and guidelines. A driver's abstract will be one of the background checks requested in the pre-employment screening for the final candidate
