Adecco is currently seeking a full-time Health and Safety Advisor for a long-term contract with a well-established oil and gas company in Christina Lake, AB. This is an outstanding opportunity to apply your expertise and significantly contribute to the company's health and safety initiatives. In this role, you will advance the H&S strategy and provide expert guidance to the business.

Location : Christina Lake, AB| Fly in, Fly out to Calgary and Edmonton

Shifts : 7 days on, 7 days off | 12 hours / day

Job type : Full-time | 1-Year Contract

Duties and Responsibilities :

Provide direct support to the execution teams regarding the interpretation of applicable OHS Legislation, Industry standards & practices, H&S program components and worker training requirements.

Assist in the implementation of the company strategy and direction and goal alignment with the organization’s priorities.

Participate in the review of project specific safety documents and associated contractor performance meetings.

Ensure H&S planning is in line with business strategy and growth plans.

Coach, influence, motivate and empower others (internally and externally) with regards to H&S ownership.

Communicate relevant and timely H&S information to the right stakeholders.

Steward safe performance the Operational Integrity Management System and related H&S requirements.

Assist in building and sustaining H&S capability platform tailored to business needs for field operations.

Collaborate within the organization to share best practice, lessons learnt and improve knowledge management.

Stay abreast of emerging H&S issues and legislation. Keep the respective assets updated with relevant requirements and assist with compliance to H&S legislation.

Requirements and Qualifications :

Minimum of 5+ years of experience in the Oil and Gas industry, ideally in Major Projects functions, specializing in the H&S Occupation.

OH&S education such as NCSO, CRSP, or CRST.

Strong Health & Safety management system technical knowledge.

Prepared to gain detailed knowledge of all company H&S standards, policies, and procedures.

Able to make decisions under tight timelines and multiple pressures.

Speak with authority and coach on CVE programs, processes, and standards.

Proactive in seeking understanding and finding new, appropriate solutions.

Must be legally eligible to work and reside in Canada.
