Title : Aboriginal Head Start Advisor
Contract : Permanent
Hours : 37.5 Hours
Location : Lheidli T’enneh (Prince George), BC
About the role
Provides advanced level of specialized expertise to First Nations communities, FNHA regional teams and FNHA and external partners in the planning and delivery of early child learning / development programs and actions. Develops resources and creates networks of support to build community capacity and expertise that can support First Nations families and their communities to create the conditions that will give First Nations children the best start in life. Supports the development and delivery of professional development training and ensures that all efforts within the position’s responsibility area are culturally appropriate, safe and relevant. Guided by Aboriginal Head Start on Reserve (AHSOR) program criteria and using community development and collaborative approaches, this role supports the ongoing enhancement of AHSOR programs.
About you
To be successful in this role you will have / be –
- Three (3) years of experience delivering Aboriginal Head Start on Reserve Programs and / or licensed child care program / s, including managing staff and budgets; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
