Position description
The Drama and Screen Studies Program at Mount Allison University invites applications for a part-time stipendiary position to teach DRAM 3141 : Theatre Production on campus in the fall term of the 2025-2026 academic year. The anticipated class size is 20 students. This course introduces students to what makes theatre happen behind the scenes. Students will learn the foundations of stage and production management, set construction, sound and lighting setup and operation, and other roles in theatre production. There will be a focus on communication frameworks and strategies as they are applied in the Motyer-Fancy Theatre, and scalable to different environments. The course format is lecture / workshop (3hrs per week).
Applicants should have Professional / academic training in Theatre Production or the equivalent combination of education and experience (3-5 years). Teaching experience at the university level would be an asset.
