Python / React Developer (Hybrid, Montreal)

We are seeking a Python / React Developer to join an investment bank in Montreal. The role involves building and maintaining web applications that support trading desk managers and comply with regulatory recommendations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Understand business needs and translate them into technical requirements.
  • Participate in the maintenance (support and development) of current tools, adhering to CACIB standards : CI / CD and unit testing.
  • Develop web tools using React, Python, ELK Stack, and SQL.
  • Collaborate within an Agile team and with product owners.
  • Maintain strong relationships with all departments and end‑users.

Requirements

  • Experience with relational databases (e.g., MS SQL).
  • Good knowledge of version control systems (GitHub or GitLab) and issue tracking (JIRA for Scrum boards).
  • Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills.
  • Strong communication skills to explain technical concepts to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, team‑oriented, fast‑paced environment.

    • Other Requirements

  • Fluency in English; French is a plus.
  • 3–5 years of experience or more.
