Summary
MatchBox Consulting Group is seeking a Master Data Analyst to support a large supply chain and inventory management team in Calgary. This role is responsible for the creation, maintenance, governance, and continuous improvement of material master data, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and consistency across supply chain, procurement, inventory, and finance operations. The successful candidate will bring hands-on SAP Material Master experience and a strong understanding of operational supply chain processes.
Responsibilities
- Create, maintain, modify, and retire material master records using SAP and related master data tools.
- Review and validate master data requests to ensure compliance with naming conventions, governance standards, and approval requirements.
- Collaborate with supply chain, procurement, inventory, and finance teams to ensure accurate and timely data setup.
- Perform data validation, duplicate checks, audits, and quality reviews to maintain data integrity.
- Manage high volumes of master data requests while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
- Support data cleanup, standardization, deduplication, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Generate reports and analyze data to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities for process improvements.
- Assist with User Acceptance Testing (UAT), system enhancements, and process improvement projects.
- Develop and maintain process documentation, training materials, and knowledge resources.
- Support governance compliance through audits, reporting, and adherence to established standards.
Qualifications
Required
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on SAP Material Master creation and maintenance experience.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Supply Chain, Materials Management, Inventory Management, Procurement, Warehousing, or Operations.
- Strong understanding of material master governance, data standards, naming conventions, and approval processes.
- Experience working with high-volume data transactions and maintaining exceptional accuracy.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Calgary-based and available for a hybrid work schedule.
Preferred
- Experience in oil & gas, utilities, energy, or heavy industrial environments.
- Experience with WinShuttle, LSMW, or similar master data management tools.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Supply Chain designation or active enrollment (CPIM, CSCP, SCMP, or equivalent).
- SAP S/4HANA experience.
- Power BI experience.
- Experience with training, user support, or process documentation.
