The City of Penticton is currently seeking to fill full-time temporary positions for Summer Day Camp Leaders in our Recreation Department . The Recreation Department promotes and contributes to a healthy community and enhances the quality of life for Penticton residents and visitors through planning, management and delivery of recreation, sport events and active living opportunities. This department partners with volunteers, community members and private sector providers to support recreation opportunities in the City.
Summer Day Camp Leaders work as a team to provide a summer to remember for children 5-12 years old.
Key Responsibilities :
- Develop detailed program plans to ensure all activities are age appropriate and engaging
- Prioritize the safety of camp children at all times
- Lead and supervise a variety of activities
- Build positive rapport with all campers and their families
- Establish and maintain open communication with parents / caregivers and colleagues

Schedule :
June 16 - Sept 2, 2025 (approximately). 40 hours per week, between the hours of 8 : 00am - 5 : 00pm, Monday to Friday
Wage :
19.00 - $21.00 per hour
Benefits :
Additional 15.5% in lieu of benefits and vacation and statutory holidays
Comp # : 25-46
