In the 1990s, the 12 First Nations of the Prince Albert Grand Council came together to establish the Prince Albert Development Corporation (PADC). Since its inception, PADC has evolved into a General Partner structure, with the Prince Albert First Nations Business Development Limited Partnership (PAFNBDLP) serving as the Limited Partner. PADC is responsible for managing the investments of PAFNBDLP through board governance, providing annual dividends to its shareholders and creating employment and training opportunities within the region. Through strategic partnerships and investment, the company works to enhance economic participation and foster prosperity for its member Nations.
Reporting to the Board of Directors, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Prince Albert Development Corporation is responsible for guiding the overall strategic vision, mission and operational activities of the organization. This role will involve close collaboration with the Management Board and Board. In addition, the PADC CEO will oversee its investments by participating as a board member on each investment's Board of Directors. The CEO will establish both short-term and long-term objectives, ensuring that the company’s operational output aligns with these goals and that organizational growth is sustainable.
The ideal candidate will have a strong record of operational leadership and general management, with broad skills in acquisition integration, sales, business development and financial management. Experience in managing a Profit & Loss (P&L) is essential. This role requires a highly effective team builder and inspirational leader who can engage and build trust with a broad range of stakeholders to achieve the organization’s vision and goals. Strong governance skills and board experience will be highly valued. The selected candidate will lead by example and foster a culture of growth and adaptability.
