With over 50 years of experience in the construction sector, our client, one of the largest private companies in North America, is seeking an experienced project manager to work on a prestigious project on Montreal's North Shore.
Main responsibilities :
Collaborate with all departments involved in the project.
Participate in developing the bidding strategy, manage the process, negotiate and draft contracts, plan supplier visits.
Coordinate team activities, including the superintendent and support staff.
Work with designers, architects, and engineers to prepare plans and specifications.
Prioritize tasks to meet budget, schedule, and design document requirements.
Review and approve purchase orders, change orders, and assist with invoice coding.
Review and approve forecasts, schedules, cost estimates, and financial reports, inform the owner of any deviations.
Oversee and submit the final project report, close out subcontractor contracts.
Perform additional tasks as needed to complete the project successfully.
Skills and qualifications :
Over 7 years of experience in a similar role in construction.
Excellent knowledge of equipment, execution standards, and best practices.
Member of the Order of Engineers (asset).
Bilingual in French and English, both spoken and written.
Ability to prioritize effectively and manage stress.
Ability to meet tight deadlines.
Attention to detail and quality of work delivered.
Professionalism, excellent communication skills, and motivation.
